Oolong tea

Roasted Oolong Tea

Derived from the leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant; the same plant utilized to make green tea and black tea. The only difference with another type of teas is how it is being processed. All tea leaves contain certain enzymes, which produce a chemical reaction called oxidation. The oxidation process enables the green tea leaves to have a deep black color.

Oolong Tea is has a color that is in between green and black as a result of its partial oxidation.

This tea base is the common choice for shop owners who prefer a strong tea with the umami of green tea for their milktea (bubble tea) drinks.
