Oolong tea
Roasted Oolong Tea
Derived from the Camellia Sinensis plant leaves, the same plant is utilized to make green tea and black tea. The only difference with another type of tea is how it is processed. All tea leaves contain certain enzymes, which produce a chemical reaction called oxidation. The oxidation process gives the green tea leaves a deep black color.
Oolong tea has a color between green and black as a result of its partial oxidation.
This tea base is the common choice for shop owners who prefer a strong tea with the umami of green tea for their milktea (bubble tea) drinks.
